Case Study

Our P2P testing is a critical process used to ensure accurate data transmission, validation of alarms, controls and displays from remote field units to the control center.

A super major oil and gas company faced the complex task of managing field testing across 123 stations—navigating weather delays, equipment challenges, and logistical hurdles. Challenge

The primary challenge faced by the super major oil and gas company was managing and supporting field testing for 123 stations. This included efficiently tracking and resolving issues and ensuring comprehensive HMI certification despite numerous setbacks such as adverse weather conditions, transportation hurdles, and equipment issues. The complexity of coordinating such extensive field operations required a robust system to manage and verify all processes.

Solution

As a result of utilizing UTSI’s P2P testing services, the oil and gas company saw significant improvements in managing and resolving field testing issues. The metrics speak for themselves: 123 stations were involved, 8003 points were tested, with over 47 tickets having been created in 2025.  The ongoing support and transition from field testing to HMI testing and development have laid a strong foundation for future operational excellence.
